Letter From Principal

December 7, 2012

A few reminders for the month of December:

We had an amazing national speaker by the name of Mark Brown present an anti-bullying assembly called, Take A Stand this morning. Ask your child about it. It was inspiring, motivational, and fun!!

Our WRS PTA is teaming up with local businesses through a “Dine and Share Program.” Currently, we are working with Pizza Bella, and will receive 10% profit share for our school when you dine there on the following Wednesday’s for the rest of this year.  All you have to do is mention Sundling Junior High School when you place your order. Please help support our WRS PTA and Sundling students by dining out at Pizza Bella’s on the following nights:

12/12/12

12/19/12

12/26/12

Thanks for supporting our WRS PTA, our students, and our local businesses. Also, attached to this email is a flyer from our PTA asking for your help. Please help our PTA reach its budgeted goal during the 2012-13 school year by making a direct donation. These donated funds have a direct impact on all of our Sundling students and PTA programs and activities this school year.

December Scholastic Online Book Orders will be accepted through the end of the night Friday, December 14th. Our next Family Literacy Night will meet Tuesday, December 11th at 7:00 PM. We hope that you can join us. Please be sure to RSVP for the evening to Kristin Samuels at (847) 963-3724 or email at SamuelsK@ccsd15.net.

Be on the lookout! Second quarter mid-term reports were sent home with your child this afternoon. Attached to this email is a list of comments that will correlate with the numbers listed on the report that was brought home. Please contact your child’s teacher if you should have any questions or concerns.

Last call! We are teaming up with the local Palatine Police and Fire Departments again this year to gather new toys for the Toys for Tots Program.  We have made great progress in the past few days, but could still use your help filling up our boxes.  If you would like to donate new toys or games to Toys for Tots, you have until Monday, December 10th to drop off the unwrapped toys in the drop box located inside the front of our school. Thank you very much!

I hope that you have a great weekend.

As always, thanks for your continued support of our staff and students.

Sincerely,

Jason Dietz
