Yearbook Club — Mrs. Blazejak
Students will have the opportunity to complete can-did photography, text and layout for the 2012-13 Sundling Yearbook. MEETS 2ND AND 4TH WEDNESDAY AFTER SCHOOL.
Student video gamers will come together to discuss and play video games using a Wii system. Club members are encouraged to bring video game magazines. MEETS 1ST AND 3RD TUESDAY AFTER SCHOOL.

Why join? Develop a creative new skill,
and feel the satisfaction of having a
unique item that you yourself made!
Who can join? Anyone! No knitting ex-
perience required! We’ll teach you the basics, or the more
advanced techniques!
What do we make? Anything! Scarves, pillows, hair clips, headbands, gloves, hats, & other treasures!
Cheerleaders
Mrs. Fullmer
The purpose of cheerleading is to promote school spirit at basketball games.
Cheerleaders are chosen based on behavior, skill and enthusiasm. The squad is chosen from student tryouts. They participate in
practices and games scheduled for after school through the end of February. The student may incur some expenses associated with this activity. Practices will be held generally twice per week after school

Peer Mentors — Ms. Burton
Meets every other Monday - location varies
The Peer Mentor Program is comprised of 8th grade
students who best exemplify the traits of enthusiasm,
respect, friendliness and a commitment to assisting
others. The Peer Mentors are recommended by teachers and go through a selection process at the end of
their 7th grade year.

It’s a fun and social group where you’ll
read our latest selections and discuss
them with friends. You’ll have a
chance to participate in choosing the
2012 Sundling book of the year.

Lego Club

This club is open to all Lego enthusiasts. Our purpose is to share in the fun of Legos while interacting with peers. We will hold meetings on the first Tuesday of every month starting in November. We will complete many Lego challenges on small teams.
Sundling's Service Club

Palatine Kiwanis)

Sundling's Service Club assists our school and the Kiwanis Club of Palatine with activities that help local children and senior citizens. We are helping with Toys for Tots, the Kiwanis/ Jaycees Holiday Party, and with any service Sundling Junior High School needs. We also have an ice cream social with the Palatine Senior Center. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in Mrs. Biancalana's, Room 308. Seventh and eighth grade boys and girls are welcome to join at any time during the school year!
Best Buddies Ms. Mitchum & Ms. Burton
Best Buddies is a program that allows the opportunity to
work with the students in the Structured Independence Pro-
gram (SIP). Our 8th grade Peer Mentors will read to the
students and do structured activities during the beginning of
9th period. In the future, we will be inviting all students
(7th or 8th grade) to participate in the Best Buddies pro-
gram.
