A Note from our PTA President
It's Back to School time! I hope you had a fantastic summer and lots of fun with your kids because ready or not - it is time for a new school year. As you complete all your back to school paperwork, don't forget to fill out the Membership Form and join the Walter R. Sundling PTA! Our PTA supports many programs and events at Sundling such as: Back to School Popsicle Day, Book Fair, Reflections, Teacher Appreciation, Black and Orange Social Event, Student/Faculty Basketball game, Graduation Festivities and Spiritwear just to name a few.
Also in your summer mailer was the PTA Volunteer Form. Feel free to share your time and areas of expertise with the PTA and the students and staff of Sundling. If your schedule does not permit you to get hands on involved, consider supporting the PTA with a direct donation. We don't run many formal fundraisers throughout the year so we rely primarily on our Direct Donation Program to raise funds.
Another option our Ways and Means Committee provides to support the PTA is our Dine and Share Program. The best thing about this program is you don't have to cook and you are supporting Sundling PTA at the same time. Check the fliers that will be sent home periodically for dates, times and participating restaurants. Our first Dine and Share is on Thursday, August 21st from 5-8pm at Chiggy's on NW Highway. When attending any of our Dine and Share nights be sure to tell them you are with Sundling Junior High. Other participating restaurants this year are Culver's and Pot Belly.
Our PTA meetings are on the third Wednesday of every month and they are all General Membership meetings which means everyone is welcome! It is a great way to stay in touch and get the latest information on what is going on at Sundling and around District 15.
We look forward to seeing you at Sundling!

Supporting your PTA has never been easier!
We have successfully offered a direct donation program the past few years that has been highly supported by our WRS parents. In this fast-paced age where it’s hard to find extra time between work and your student’s activities, parents are looking for a simplified way to offer assistance.
While parents appreciate the services of the PTA, many welcomethe opportunity to reduce the number of fundraising solicitations. In recognition of this fact, the WRS PTA continues to encourage direct donations to satisfy its budgetary requirements used to support the many important programs it sponsors.
If you would like to give a direct donation, click on the 'Donate Now" link below for more information.
