Greetings to our families, staff, teachers, and administration of Sundling Jr. High!

Here we go! It's hard to believe it's already upon us, but ready or not, school is about to begin! On behalf of the entire PTA board, we welcome back 8th grade families and a warm welcome to all the first timers!

By now, you should have received the mailer from Sundling including a wealth of forms. If not, it's due to arrive shortly. In that stack are some very important and colorful PTA forms. Most important is the Membership form as that is the easiest way to support Sundling PTA. Joining does not mean you are committing to anything else. Of course, we exist strictly by volunteering, so second most important is the volunteer form. While your student may say they don't want mom or dad hanging around anymore, inwardly, they appreciate all we do! Whatever level you choose to be involved with us, from the basic membership to holding an
office, to serving at an event, to providing donations, we are most grateful! Please fill out the membership form and be sure to submit it at your earliest convenience. Sundling PTA needs you!

Without our award-winning Sundling PTA, many fun student events would not be happening! Here's just a brief highlight of the fun coming up this year:

*Ice cream social (really popsicles, but shhh, it's a surprise!) Your child might not mention it, but ask them after their first week of school...

*Book Fairs (First one is Aug 27th - 30th)

*Parent Orientaton (Wednesday, August 29 6:30 – 8:00)

*Black and Orange Thursday Oct 25 afer school (free PTA President’s Column Fall party complete with a DJ, games, and food
for purchase)

*Student/Faculty Basketball Game Thursday, Feb 21 6:30-9:00 (Watch our boys and girls basketball teams play against our teachers and staff... Sundling band students provide a fun, peppy atmosphere, plus you could be the lucky winner of a raffle prize!)

*When Pigs Fly (April 26, 2019)

*Open House

*Teacher Appreciation Week

*Eighth Grade Graduation Picnic

*Parent Connectons

Direct Donations:

We have successfully offered a direct donation program the past few years that has been highly supported by our WRS parents. In this fast-paced age where it’s hard to find extra time between work and your student’s activities, parents are looking for a simplified way to offer assistance.

While parents appreciate the services of the PTA, many welcome the opportunity to reduce the number of fundraising solicitations.  In recognition of this fact, the WRS PTA continues to encourage direct donations to satisfy its budgetary requirements used to support the many important programs it sponsors.
